Reinaldo García Ramos

Reinaldo García Ramos (Cienfuegos, Cuba, 1944). Poeta, narrador, crítico, ensayista, editor y traductor. Reside en Estados Unidos desde 1980. Hasta 2001 vivió en Nueva York, donde integró el Consejo de Dirección de la revista Mariel (1983-1985). Recibió en 2006 el Premio Internacional de Poesía Luys Santamarina-Ciudad de Cieza, en Murcia, por su poemario Obra del fugitivo, publicado ese mismo año en Madrid. Tiene publicados, entre otros, los poemarios El buen peligro (Madrid, 1987), Caverna fiel (Madrid, 1993), En la llanura (Coral Gables, 2001) y El ánimo animal (Coral Gables, 2008). Su novela Cuerpos al borde de una isla; mi salida de Cuba por Mariel (2010) ha tenido tres reediciones. Recogió en Rondas y presagios (Miami, 2012) su obra poética publicada hasta entonces. En 2017 vieron la luz dos libros suyos: Una medida inexacta (ensayos y comentarios), en la Editorial Verbum de Madrid, y Espacio circular (Ediciones La Mirada, Nuevo México). Baile de máscaras, su nuevo poemario, saldrá en 2021.
