Poitier Wordsmith Academy is a venture to create wordsmiths from everyday youth! 16 showcased titles were written as part of Poitier Wordsmith Academy by youth ages 7-18 to encourage penning, literacy development, and entrepreneurship, while decreasing at-risk behavior due to lack of confidence and skills. These works vary in genre and all give voice to unique characters with life-changing stories to render to the world. In addition, 7 titles are part of three children & teen series’ developing literacy, life skills, and good character through equitable, fun, and relatable stories that provide adventure through the eyes of a child/teen.
