Join us for a bilingual multidisciplinary event that sparks in kids an interest for literature and the arts through stories, poems, tongue twisters, riddles and music. Featuring the music of Latin Grammy Award winner Lena Burke singing classic Cuban children’s music. We also have our good friends from the Adriana Barraza Acting Studio Children’s Theatre Program returning with a beautiful story about ocean conservancy called “The Brave Little Turtle”, as well as Artefactus’s “The Path of the Forest”, a children’s theatre piece that highlights some of the traditions of the Cherokee nation. Hosted by Camila Rodríguez, the Picnic de Libros ¡en casa! is a collaboration between the MDC’s Koubek Center and Fundación Cuatrogatos, with the support of the Miami Book Fair.
