Sergio Ramírez

(Masetepe, Nicaragua, 1942) Periodista, narrador, ensayista, abogado y político. Entre sus libros se destacan las novelas Tiempo de fulgor (1970), Un baile de máscaras (1995), Margarita, está linda la mar (Premio Alfaguara, 1998), Sombras nada más (2002), El cielo llora por mí(2009), La fugitiva (2011), Sara (2015) y Y ya nadie llora por mí (2017) y los libros de cuentos De tropeles y tropelías (1971), Catalina y Catalina (2001), El reino animal (2006) y Flores oscuras (2013). Para niños ha publicado La jirafa embarazada (2011) y Los pájaros que volaron del cuadro (2019). En 2014, publicó Juan de Juanes, libro crónicas y ensayos. Entre otros reconocimientos, ha recibido el Premio de Narrativa José María Arguedas (2000), el Premio José Donoso (2011), el Premio Internacional Carlos Fuentes (2014) y el Premio Cervantes (2017).
