Presented in partnership with Project ART

ProjectART artist Aurora Molina knows what makes for a fun and creative afternoon – color and yarn! Get creative as we get inspired by the bestselling picture book, Extra Yarn, and create some colorful pieces you’ll want to put on display.

Aurora Molina was born in La Havana, Cuba, in 1984. She emigrated to the United States at the age of 16, where she opted to pursue an education in art. Molina received her associate’s degree in arts in visual arts from Miami Dade College, a bachelor’s degree in fine arts specializing in mixed media from Florida International University and master’s degree in contemporary art at the Universidad Europea de Madrid, completed in 2009. She currently resides in Miami, where she works as a full-time artist represented by Bernice Steinbaum Gallery. Molina has been a teaching artist as an extension to her social practice engaging adults and young audiences, working with museums, non- profits, college and the community at large since 2011.
