Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz is a multiple GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor. His style incorporates elements of rock, blues, soul, R&B, and psychedelia. He has sold more than an estimated 40 million records. Kravitz is also an interior and furniture designer and launched his own company Kravitz Design in 2015. Titled after his first studio album, released in 1989, Kravitz’ autobiography Let Love Rule (Henry Holt and Co.), co-written with biographer David Ritz, covers the first 25 years of his life. It tells the story of a creative kid who, despite his struggles at school and extreme tension at home, finds salvation in music. As it addresses Kravitz’ time in New York and Los Angeles, as well as further afield in France, England, and Germany, Let Love Rule introduces us to his father, Sy, a high-powered news executive; his mother, Roxie Roker, a television star; and Lisa Bonet, the young actress who becomes his muse, and follow along as Kravitz turns down record deal after record deal, until he finds the right fit. “That journey, full of adventure, was where I found myself and my voice,” he said.
