Vanady A. Daniels served as the principal of Lake Stevens and Arcola Lake Elementary Schools, in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools District, located in Miami, Florida. The past 33 years have afforded her the opportunity to impact student achievement through teaching, technology integration projects, grant writing, mentoring teachers and aspiring leaders, training teachers and leading change for school improvement in urban school settings. In October 2014, Ms. Daniels published her first book, entitled The Power of Positive: Inspiration, Encouragement, Motivation and Enrichment. Her second book, Moments in the Word: Inspiration, Encouragement, Motivation and Enrichment, was published in September 2018.
