DESCRIPTION:Presented in partnership with Project ART \nIn art\, there’s no such thing as a mistake\, and that’s part of what makes art beautiful! Follow along with ProjectART artist Susan Feliciano and turn some artistic “mistakes” into masterpieces you’ll want to hang on your wall! \nSusan Feliciano is a Miami-based interdisciplinary artist who works in painting\, photography\, poetry\, installation\, and textiles. A New York native and daughter of Colombian and Puerto Rican immigrants\, her work explores psychological and physical spaces\, the emotional force of color\, and the beauty of impermanence. Feliciano’s work is presented in important exhibitions nationally and internationally\, most recently at the Museum of Contemporary Art\, Coral Gables Museum\, and Arthill Gallery in London. Her paintings and photography have appeared in distinguished venues throughout South Florida\, including the Girl’s Club Fort Lauderdale and Sublime Gallery. Her artwork was part of notable exhibitions such as 9Topics TRIAD\, 100+ degrees in the Shade\, and PulseMiami. Her paintings are featured in influential publications including Florida Design Magazine. Works by Feliciano are in prominent art collections including Bank of America\, Royal Caribbean International\, and Oceania. She participated in prestigious artist residencies including Oolite Arts and ProjectArt Miami. She received noteworthy grants most recently the Ellie’s Grant and the Fulbright Memorial Fund Japan. She attended Florida International University where she received a B.A. (1992)\, BFA (2001)\, and M.S. (2005).
